What’s Keeping Spiritual People Broke?

Let’s tackle a problem most people really don’t want to talk about: what’s keeping most spiritual people broke. There are lots of spiritual teachers out there who will tell you not to focus on the problem as you would only be creating more of the problem and asking the Universe to manifest proofs that would justify it as a fact. I just don’t agree with that. The problem won’t magically to away by ignoring it, although in some cases you can work around it so that you never have to deal with it. If you want a problem to go away, you have to explore the problem to really understand where it’s coming from. Then, this awareness gives you power to resolve that issue and finally break free.

Not everybody agrees that most spiritual people are broke, but I’ve been working in this community for long enough to know that this is true. The most obvious explanation would be that spiritual people don’t value money or have dysfunctional beliefs about money, but this applies to everybody, not just spiritual people. I see plenty of non-spiritual people who hate dealing with money, who have a job they hate yet they have plenty of money. I also see plenty of highly conscious and skilled spiritual people who value money, who are highly committed to breaking through with their groundbreaking projects and who are totally broke. What’s going on here, really?

Furthermore, many of my clients don’t even have a credit card. Reaching higher levels …Read More

Understanding the Mind Part 2

In the first part of this article, I exposed some flaws in the way spiritual leaders are teaching about the mind. Now, let’s explore Dr. Thurman Fleet’s famous stick-figure diagram of the mind (on the right). First, I will explain his diagram, then I will propose an alternative diagram, and from that new perspective, we’ll then look at how Thurman’s diagram is limiting our understanding of the mind and what are the implications of it.

What he says is very simple: we are a spiritual being, we are gifted with an intellect and we have a physical body. We have a subconscious mind that runs on auto-pilot and that cannot filter information, and we have a conscious mind that can filter information and make decisions. We also have a body, but it is the least important aspect although we do need to take actions. The actions won’t do much if they’re coming from the wrong state of mind, and the actions will flow effortlessly when coming from the proper state of mind. Many self-development and spiritual teachers use this model all the time to explain how the mind works in very simple terms.

Now, let me propose an alternative model. I first drafted this new diagram at Rion Freeberg’s Self-Awakening Immersion Party in Thailand last October. One of the reasons I am writing this is to clarify how what I’m learning based on the previous model fits with the rest of what I’m teaching, because confusion causes inaction and …Read More

Understanding the Mind Part 1

There are lots of people teaching how to use your mind in more effective ways, and there are lots of various philosophies on the topic. Also, there are various flaws and misconceptions in what is currently being taught by the top spiritual leaders. Truly changing your life happens through the mind, and it requires a proper understanding of how this mind works. In the first part of this article, I am going to expose the most common flaws in what is currently being taught and the consequences of these flawed principles. Then, in the second part, I will put Dr. Thurman Fleet’s famous stick figure diagram of the mind designed around 1938 and really put it to the test. I will expose its flaws and limitations and propose a more complete diagram of the mind that will open you to new possibilities.

Because I am making challenging far-stretching claims here, I will ask you to be really skeptic and to put what I say to the test. Learn to think on your own. What brought you to consciously or subconscious buy into any of these flawed concepts is a lack of skepticism and a lack of critical thinking. In order to be a true skeptic, it is especially important to put your own thoughts and beliefs into question, which is where most skeptics get stuck. I don’t want to you get out of these flawed concepts just to buy into other flawed concepts, nor do I pretend to …Read More

The Top 3 Principles Keeping Spiritual People STUCK

There has been a huge spiritual movement that has grown especially in the last ten years. Yet, I still see many spiritual people STUCK and BROKE. Why is it so? There are several reasons. I’m really tired of seeing people with huge potential remaining stuck in their small lives because of dysfunctional beliefs they hold onto. I’m on a mission to change this. Here are the top 3 principles keeping most spiritual people stuck.

Faulty spiritual principle #1: Positive thinking

Most of us realize that our thoughts attract what we focus on through the law of attraction. Thus, a great majority of broke people focus only on what they want and avoid looking at the problems in their lives. I would bring a slight correction to the law of attraction. If you visualize 10 minutes per day, it attracts what you consciously focus on 10 minutes per day and what you subconscious focus on 24h per day. If you avoid problems in your life, avoid looking at them and avoid dealing with them, this avoidance is an important emotional charge that is focused on the problems you are avoiding. This means that avoiding problems actually attracts them. More importantly, when you don’t address the problems in your life, they don’t go away. They keep growing in the dark like mushrooms until they become too big for you to ignore. There are so many people into the law of attraction who went into bankruptcy because of this.

Instead, look at problems with a positive …Read More

The Unbearable Truth

I am all about freedom, truth and taking responsibility. Recently, as I was seeking answers to deep questions, my own mind was resisting getting the answers as I knew I wouldn’t like the answers and their implications. When I talked about it to others, they all went completely silent, or even told me to not talk about it so directly. I would rather have clarity over an unbearable truth and assume its consequences rather than live in ignorance and take the resulting issues for granted. If you are not seeking truth and freedom, really, you have no reason to be reading this. I will expose 3 unbearable truths that deserve to see the light.

The first unbearable truth is nothing new and I am not too concerned about it. I will mention it here because we can take a few lessons from it. We all know what happened on 9/11 with the collapse of the World Trade Center. The “Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth” movement has a petition signed by 1700 architects and engineers. After doing a scientific investigation and facing the facts, they came to the conclusion that the World Trade Center was brought down by controlled demolition as an inside job and that there was a massive cover-up operation to eliminate the proofs and silence the truth. If you want to know more about the evidences, they just released a new documentary called 911 Experts Speak Out which exposes all the facts: http://911expertsspeakout.org/

I am not so …Read More
