Understanding the Mind Part 2

In the first part of this article, I exposed some flaws in the way spiritual leaders are teaching about the mind. Now, let’s explore Dr. Thurman Fleet’s famous stick-figure diagram of the mind (on the right). First, I will explain his diagram, then I will propose an alternative diagram, and from that new perspective, we’ll then look at how Thurman’s diagram is limiting our understanding of the mind and what are the implications of it.

What he says is very simple: we are a spiritual being, we are gifted with an intellect and we have a physical body. We have a subconscious mind that runs on auto-pilot and that cannot filter information, and we have a conscious mind that can filter information and make decisions. We also have a body, but it is the least important aspect although we do need to take actions. The actions won’t do much if they’re coming from the wrong state of mind, and the actions will flow effortlessly when coming from the proper state of mind. Many self-development and spiritual teachers use this model all the time to explain how the mind works in very simple terms.

Now, let me propose an alternative model. I first drafted this new diagram at Rion Freeberg’s Self-Awakening Immersion Party in Thailand last October. One of the reasons I am writing this is to clarify how what I’m learning based on the previous model fits with the rest of what I’m teaching, because confusion causes inaction and …Read More

Understanding the Mind Part 1

There are lots of people teaching how to use your mind in more effective ways, and there are lots of various philosophies on the topic. Also, there are various flaws and misconceptions in what is currently being taught by the top spiritual leaders. Truly changing your life happens through the mind, and it requires a proper understanding of how this mind works. In the first part of this article, I am going to expose the most common flaws in what is currently being taught and the consequences of these flawed principles. Then, in the second part, I will put Dr. Thurman Fleet’s famous stick figure diagram of the mind designed around 1938 and really put it to the test. I will expose its flaws and limitations and propose a more complete diagram of the mind that will open you to new possibilities.

Because I am making challenging far-stretching claims here, I will ask you to be really skeptic and to put what I say to the test. Learn to think on your own. What brought you to consciously or subconscious buy into any of these flawed concepts is a lack of skepticism and a lack of critical thinking. In order to be a true skeptic, it is especially important to put your own thoughts and beliefs into question, which is where most skeptics get stuck. I don’t want to you get out of these flawed concepts just to buy into other flawed concepts, nor do I pretend to …Read More

The Power of Opulence: Living on the Edge

Here’s a great new awakening video that was premiered at the Self-Awakening and Transformation Live Event in Thailand. It’s really a different kind of awakening video. This one is to fully step into life and to step into your power to create and live abundantly. It’s a bit busy production-wise and scrambles the mind, but in a good way to unlock doors of inner power.

For best results, use good headphones and watch the video a few times in a row. The effect will grow on you. Enjoy!

The Next Level

There’s a lot going on right now, and a lot of crazy stories. I arrived in Thailand last week and I’ve been integrating a very different energy which amplified a profound shift in me. I’ll share some of what’s going on to give you an idea of what it is like to live at the next level.

First, business-wise, I finally clarified where I really want to head with all this. Really, I’m here to make a real difference in the world and to empower people into living a greater life. My life purpose or dharma is to guide a specific tribe to achieve something specific with their lives. The connection with that tribe is really like an electric wire, where the current (and communication) either passes or doesn’t. I realized I could intuitively measure to what percentage the current connects through that wire. I help spirit-driven people break old habits and integrate new knowledge to make a real difference in the world. My intuition says the current passes 99.3% with these words. This is a big shift with my business, and this is what will allow me to reach a whole new level. I figured out it would be easier to take people living their purpose and bring them into spirituality, than to take people in spirituality and bring them into action; and the action part is really what leverages the whole transformational process.

Then, I had forgotten 95% of the Thai basics I had, and I learned back conversation-level Thai …Read More

12 Core Principles of Dharma Spirituality

Dharma Spirituality is the shameless expression of your heart’s deepest desires. It’s not about living a more spiritual life. It’s about living a more human life IN alignment with spirit.

Here are the 12 core principles of Dharma Spirituality.

1. You are perfect and unlimited at your core. That perfection is covered with mud. It’s not about developing awareness and abilities. It’s about uncovering what already is.

2. You have no spiritual, emotional, financial, health or relational problems in your life, none whatsoever. All you have are situations for which you are not conscious of the solution. Every problem or challenge has a solution that can resolve it right now.

3. Inner growth and transformation is the most important thing, as your thoughts, feelings and circumstances are a direct reflection of that. By letting your own light shine, you also give others permission to shine.

4. Skepticism is a good thing. Question everything, especially your own thoughts and opinions. Once you learn Dharma Spirituality, it becomes your own. Experiment with it and deepen your understanding in your own ways. Do not draw conclusions as it closes your mind to further questioning.

5. We are all connected through a spiritual plane that organizes creation through time and space. Intuition, desires, psychic perceptions and dreams are directly connected to that plane which is regulated by very specific laws.

6. Emotions are energies in motion. Thus, we communicate and interact with the world through our emotions via the spiritual plane.

7. For quantum growth, work only with universal laws and energy, …Read More
